Sarah Bennett, raised along the South Fork of the American River
In the moments of necessary exploration I walked down our little road to the shores of the river. Years later I would learn that the paths I took and the rocks I sat upon weren’t meant for me—and yet these memories of sparkling currents, water racing over unseen boulders sheered from the surrounding mountains during the gold rush + the observation of campers across the water would forever form the person I was to become.
When I pick up my camera, the river and the current seems to sink into my practice. Guiding me to observe, to flow and to look out for the sparking sunlight that creates magic. Throughout wedding days and sessions my goal before your day is to craft an intentional practice of understanding and knowing who you are as a couple and what your intentions are behind your celebrations.
Through in person coffee dates we get to settle into a knowing and understanding of one another in the hopes that on your wedding day we feel more like friends than strangers. This practice of meeting in person is meant to establish a baseline of connection that hopefully only grows through intentional personal blog posts, shared notes on Social Media platforms and through personal connections throughout your wedding planning process.
